Biological Activity:

AS8351 is a potent iron chelator that has been found to inhibit of histone demethylase KDM5B (JARID1B) by competing with a-ketoglutarate. KDM5B a histone H3K4 demethylase involved in regulation of cell proliferation and stem cell self-renewal and differentiation. It can induce reprogramming of human fetal lung fibroblasts into functional cardiomyocytes, in combination with CHIR99021, A83-01, BIX01294, SC1, Y-27632, OAC2, SU16f and JNJ10198409.

How to Use:

In vitro: AS8351 was used at 1-10 µM in vitro and cellular assays.
In vivo: n/a
