How to use
In Vitro:
SRS16-86 exhibits ferroptosis-inhibiting ability in vitro by FACS analysis of erastin-treated HT-1080 cells and in NIH 3T3 cells.
In Vivo:
SRS16-86 (a novel third-generation ferrostatin) is more stable, to metabolism and plasma, and more potent, compared with the first-in-class compound ferrostatin-1 (Fer-1) to suppress ferroptosis in vivo. Even in conditions with extraordinarily severe IRI, SRS16-86 exerts strong protection to an extent which has not previously allowed survival in any murine setting.
