Description
7-Xylosyltaxol is a taxane and derivative of paclitaxel that has been found in T. chinensis and has microtubule disruptor and anticancer activities. It induces the disassembly of pig brain and Physarum microtubules in cell-free assays. 7-Xylosyltaxol inhibits proliferation of A549, MCF-7, A2780, HCT-8, and SW480 cancer cells with IC50 values of 0.39, 0.16, 0.85, 5.9, and 5.6 µM, respectively.
